Starlet is a South African-English drag queen who competed on the fourth series of RuPaul's Drag Race UK.

Career

[edit]

In 2022, Starlet competed on the fourth series of RuPaul's Drag Race UK.[1] She was the first on the show to represent South Africa.[2] RuPaul said Starlet's entrance look was among the best in the show's history.[3][4] On the second episode, which had a girl group challenge,[5] Starlet placed in the bottom two and lost a lip sync battle against Jonbers Blonde to "About You Now".[6] Starlet was the first contestant on the British version of the show not to speak an exit line, instead walking directly off the stage following her elimination.[7][8][9] She said she did this because she "broke down immediately" after coming off stage and wanted to leave as "quickly as possible".[10][11]

Personal life

[edit]

Starlet was born in Johannesburg and later relocated to Surrey, England.[12]
