Smith Snowden is an American football cornerback for the Utah Utes.
Early life and high school
[edit]Snowden attended Skyridge High School located in Lehi, Utah.[1] During Snowden's senior season, he notched 28 tackles, six interceptions, and four total touchdowns.[2] Coming out of high school, Snowden was rated as a four-star recruit, where he also held offers from schools such as BYU, Northwestern, Penn, Stanford, Utah, and Yale.[3][4] Ultimately, Snowden decided to commit to play college football for the Utah Utes.[5][6]
College career
[edit]In week eleven of the 2023 season, Snowden got his first defensive reps, playing 37 snaps where he recorded three tackles in a win over the Arizona State Sun Devils.[7] Snowden finished his first collegiate season in 2023, appearing in eleven games, where he notched seven tackles on the season.[8][9] In week three of the 2024 season, Snowden recorded his first career interception off quarterback Bryson Barnes, as he helped the Utes to a win over the Utah State Aggies.[10]
