Shavur District (Persian: بخش شاوور) is in Karkheh County, Khuzestan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Shavur.[3]

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the district's population (as a part of Shush County) was 62,617 in 9,841 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 69,051 people in 15,291 households,[5] by which time the village of Rashg-e Shavur had been elevated to the status of the city of Shavur.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the district as 70,071 inhabitants in 18,263 households.[2]

In September 2019, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Karkheh County, and Karkha Rural District was created in the district.[3]
