Inclusion of this item is warranted because the subject, corruption in Ukraine, is internationally notable. The fact that the head of NABU, Ukraine's anti-corruption body, is found guily of corruption by an appeals court means that he will (likely) have to step down from his job. This is a significant evolution for all those who follow Ukraine since the man was appointed to the newly created post after the pro-Western Euromaidan annex 2014 Ukrainian revolution.[1] . @Wakari07: Just wanted to point out that it would be nice if the details about the case were added in the item. The way it was written originally, it only said that he was found guilty of corruption, without specifying all the reasons why it was important that are mentioned above. That might have been a factor in it getting originally deleted. Greetings.--EdgarCabreraFariña (talk) 14:05, 15 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your feedback and also for your edit. According to Wikipedia:How the Current events page works, entries should be short (brief summaries), "preferably no more than 30 - 40 words". My add was 21 words, yours 59. I thought it was self-evident that corruption is not done for an anti-corruption official. You disagree – that's life. Meanwhile, I created a stub that can be developed. Wakari07 (talk) 14:38, 15 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
