The portal has been expanded with the addition of new Good- and Featured article sections. The article selections listed below were added. If anyone is interested, please feel free to discuss these changes here. North America100017:57, 21 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Northamerica1000: I liked the addition of the "Featured article" and "Good article" sections, but I didn't like the changes in the "Selected images" and "Selected article to understand countries" sections. I also didn't like the addition of borders and wikiproject's header. I'm looking for a cleaner, simpler line, for example: Portal: Computer programming that doesn't need purge tools.Guilherme Burn (talk) 11:49, 27 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Guilherme Burn: I feel that the purge option added to the images and selected article sections encourages users to browse other articles. Since the trend is to update to direct transclusions, subpages where readers can check out all of the topics are becoming rarer and rarer. People may not always scroll back up to the main purge link below the intro, only view what's initially on the page, and then move on. Feel free to make any changes to the portal you feel would be beneficial. I would prefer for the purge options to remain, at the very least in the new GA and FA sections, but we can discuss more if you'd like. North America100012:42, 27 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Guilherme Burn, I agree "Countries" is a tricky topic to find sensible images for as it's so broad. The images I selected were mainly of maps or borders between countries, so relevant but not really illustrative of the topic itself. WaggersTALK11:41, 1 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
