• 2005 - Hurricane Vince made landfall in the southern Iberian Peninsula as a tropical depression, becoming the first known tropical cyclone to ever make landfall on continental Europe however some sources suggest the stronger 1842 Spain hurricane did so first on October 29, 1842.
• 2014 - Cyclone Hudhud (pictured) reached peak intensity as a Category 4 tropical cyclone before making landfall over in Andhra Pradesh. Hudhud caused ₹21,908 (US$3.8 billion) in damages and killed 124 people in total.
• 2018 - Cyclone Titli struck Andhra Pradesh, causing 85 deaths.
