Pokémon Trading Card Game Live (a.k.a. Pokémon TCG Live or TCGL) is a video game based on the Pokémon Trading Card Game. It is the successor to Pokémon TCG Online, which had service ended in 2023.
History
[edit]Live was announced in 2021 and was initially delayed until 2022, with promises of transferring card data from Online to Live once it took effect.[1] In November 2021, it was announced that the game would be delayed until 2022.[2]
The game was further delayed until eventually being released 9 October 2024 for mobile devices[3][4] with desktop versions also available.[5]
Comparisons have been made to Nintendo's other product Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket, being found to have larger sixty-card decks that better emulates playing the original Pokémon Trading Card Game all three digital adaptations were based on.[6]
