Phyllis Cleveland

Phyllis Cleveland was a Cleveland City Council member representing Ward 5.
Early life and education
[edit]Cleveland graduated from East Technical High School and Case Western Reserve University with degrees in English and law.[1] She was an assistant prosecutor,[2] staff attorney, and a magistrate.[1]
She worked for the Cleveland Tenants Organization.[3]
Political career
[edit]Cleveland was elected in 2006 in Ward 5.[1] Cleveland was named majority leader[4] in 2009.[3]
Citing health issues,[5] she resigned May 3, 2021.[6]
After resignation, Cleveland joined the Department of Public Utilities.[7]
