The State of Palestine has an embassy in Montevideo.[1] The Oriental Republic of Uruguay has an embassy in Ramallah.[2] During the period 2020-2024, the ambassador of Palestine in Montevideo is Nadia Rasheed.[3]
Uruguay recognized the State of Palestine in 2011,[4][5] without specifically recognizing borders.[6][7] There is a small Palestinian population in Uruguay, numbering a few thousands.[8]
