The Molalla Pioneer is the local weekly newspaper in Molalla, Oregon, United States.[2] The Pioneer is currently a weekly newspaper published on Wednesdays.[2]

History

The Molalla Pioneer was founded in 1913.[2] Rodger Eddy, owner of North Willamette News, bought the paper in 1944 from Frank Parchman Jr., owner of the Polk Sun.[3] Two years later Eddy merged his company with Eagle Newspapers in 1976.[4] Eagle sold the paper in January 2013 to Pamplin Media Group.[5][6]
