History

[edit]

The Canby Herald has been published since 1906.[2][3] It was acquired by Eagle Newspapers in 1972.[4] The company sold the paper along with five others in January 2013 to Pamplin Media Group.[5][6]

As of 2014, the paper is published on Wednesdays.[2] The paper was previously (as of 2012) published bi-weekly, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, but sharing content with the Woodburn Independent in its Saturday edition.[3]
