Changing the article first helps to ensure that any alterations to the summary on the Main Page have consensus. Please do not leave comments, complaints or suggestions for improvement on the talk page here, because they are unlikely to be seen promptly, whereas the "Main Page errors" section is regularly checked by administrators, who can make any necessary alterations to the summary.
General comments about the article itself should be left on the article's talk page; comments about the TFA process should be left at Wikipedia talk:Today's featured article.
