Marhemetabad Rural District (Persian: دهستان مرحمت آباد)[3] is in the Central District of Miandoab County, West Azerbaijan province, Iran. Its capital is the village of Gug Tappeh-ye Khaleseh.[4]

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population was 11,746 in 2,933 households.[5] There were 10,327 inhabitants in 3,006 households at the following census of 2011.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 10,072 in 3,097 households. The most populous of its 33 villages was Gug Tappeh-ye Khaleseh, with 2,548 people.[2]
