Live in Chicago '24 is a live album by Australian-rock band King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, self released digitally on 4 September 2024 on Bandcamp.[1] The album features the band's three three-hour marathon show at the Huntington Bank Pavilion in Northerly Island, Chicago, Illinois on 1 September 2024.[2]
Background
[edit]Like the other 2024 live albums by the band, it was released through their bootlegging platform with its Stems and a Soundboard recording released through Dropbox with an encouragement to be mixed and pressed by independent labels.[3] The tracks come from fourteen of the band's albums: Murder of the Universe, Nonagon Infinity, Flight b741, Polygondwanaland, PetroDragonic Apocalypse, The Silver Cord, Gumboot Soup, 12 Bar Bruise, Float Along - Fill Your Lungs, Infest the Rats' Nest, Ice, Death, Planets, Lungs, Mushrooms and Lava, Omnium Gatherum, K.G., and Sketches of Brunswick East, .
