[edit]Notes
[edit]- ^ There have been mentions that the Wilmington Chronicle, supposedly published in 1760, was the first newspaper in the state. However, no evidence of this has been shown.[126]
- ^ Some have stated that rather than the Wilmington Chronicle, the Wilmington Courant was the first newspaper in Delaware history. They declare that the paper was published by James Adams, the first printer in the state, during 1762. However, no copies of this paper are known to exist.[126]
