Notes
[edit]- ^ All of the State tartans are registered in the Scottish Register of Tartans as district tartans. However, only some of them have been officially adopted, approved or procured by the relevant State. For more information, see District tartans of Australia.
- ^ The ACT has no arms, but as the governments of the territory and city are unified, the city's arms are used as though they were the territory's.
- ^ The City of Canberra tartan is registered in the Scottish Register of Tartans as a fashion tartan. It has not been officially adopted by the ACT government, but has that government's support. The tartan is also used by Canberra's official town crier. For more information, see District tartans of Australia.
