Help:User_contributions#Not_shown

The Help:User_contributions#Not_shown part is a bit confusing at a glance, since the first and third lines look like they're contradicting each other. -WarthogDemon 03:39, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

Other users' contributions

I hadn't realised until I saw an item above that it is possible to see other user's contribution list. This has obvious benefits for keeping track in an area of shared interest, and I can understand how to do it for a not-logged-in contributor. How can I see the list for a logged-in contributor, when I don't know the relevant number? jimfbleak 10:12 16 May 2003 (UTC)

Bring up their user page, cick "User contributions" in the sidebar or bottom links bar. --Brion
  1. It's on the lower bar if you use Nostalgia skin.
  2. Also, you can copy the URL: http://www.wikipedia.org/w/wiki.phtml?title=Special:Contributions&target=XX , where XX is the user name. --Menchi 10:19 16 May 2003 (UTC)
Duh! Sometimes I wonder at my failure to see the obvious-thanks Brion, menchi. jimfbleak
I used to be able to see other users' contribution lists at top right on their user pages, and now I can't. Has something changed or moved? Also, the article mentions how to see contribution lists of logged-in users and of anonymous users, but does not explain how to see contribution lists of non-logged-in users (for example, if you want to look at a commenter's list after reading a comment). So I still don't have my answer; it's probably something simple, but I doubt I'm the only person with that question. Any help will be appreciated. Evangeline (talk) 23:22, 25 October 2011 (UTC)
You can only see your own contributions at the top right. I haven't heard of a feature to see it for others there. In the default Vector skin the "User contributions" link for others is under "Toolbox" in the left pane on a user or user talk page. See Help:User contributions#Accessing. "anonymous user" is a name for a non-logged-in user. If you mean somebody who has an account but was not logged in at the time of the edit then it registers as an IP address like anonymous users. Only checkusers have access to connect an IP address to a user account. If you mean somebody who posted a comment without signing then you have to look at the page history to find out who it was and see their contributions. Does this answer your question? Searching for all contributions for an IP range

User:Breathtaker who operates under the 87.122 IP range... is evading his block. How can I seee all edits amde within this range. I tried inputiing "87.122.0.0/18" into the User Contributions page but that did not work. Any help would be apreciated.--Dr who1975 (talk) 20:06, 17 April 2008 (UTC)

Is there an answers? i'm interested, too --Itu (talk) 04:42, 8 February 2010 (UTC)
I know it's too late but for future reference, there is http://toolserver.org/~overlordq/cgi-bin/rangecheck.cgi and if you are a checkuser you may also use Special:CheckUser -- Dalba(talk) 30 Aban 1391/ 07:11, 20 November 2012 (UTC)
Another option may be using API and ucuserprefix parameter. For example: [1] -- Dalba(talk) 30 Aban 1391/ 07:46, 20 November 2012 (UTC)
At Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-gadgets you can select "Allow /16, /24 and /27 – /32 CIDR ranges on Special:Contributions forms". /18 is not supported. Use /16. PrimeHunter (talk) 12:58, 20 November 2012 (UTC)
This is probably the easiest way to do it. Thanks. -- Dalba(talk) 4 Azar 1391/ 01:16, 24 November 2012 (UTC)

Record

Which user has the record for most edits? Emperor001 (talk) 22:14, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

Check out WP:List of Wikipedians by number of edits. tgies (talk) 11:42, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

Page creation doesn't go back to the beginning

The N flag for page creation doesn't seem to register older creations. Is this a known bug or feature? Does it go back to a fixed date or a certain number of edits? Thanks. Michael Z. 2008-07-03 04:52 z

I noticed this too, and think it shouldn't just be for recent edits. I think it goes back about 3 months. Richard001 (talk) 02:58, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

At the bottom of the user contribs page

There is now links to a bunch of pages. Is it possible to get a template like that that you can add to your own user page?

Oh, nevermind, here we go: Template:Sp-contributions-footer. Richard001 (talk) 02:58, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

User contributions screen

Shouldn't there be a link to this page (Wikipedia:User contributions) from any given user contributions page? I can't see anything of the sort. Richard001 (talk) 03:26, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

Forked: redirect?

This page seems to be a fork of Help:User contributions. Based on other similar pages I've been editing recently, like Help:Diff, Help:Page history, Help:Watching pages, I would conclude that the Help: namespace would be more appropriate for this one too. Does anyone mind, then, if I redirect this page to there (carrying over any additional information that's here but isn't there - of which there seems to be very little anyway)?--Kotniski (talk) 19:53, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

Good idea! CarolMooreDC (talk) 02:52, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
