Please add an apostrophe to "pages" in the last sentence before the first figure. I can't hit the "edit" button 'cause it's in the lede, or I'd be happy to fix it myself. 69.171.187.8 (talk) 04:59, 10 February 2012 (UTC)Ragityman[reply]

Rewrite of entire article

[edit]

Hello. I rewrote the entire article because it needed an update to match what is at WP:page name, where I also have a request for comments of the changes made there over the last month. The effort is to get a consistent and logical separation of our Help V. Wikipedia versions, and to form "page name" as a term, into a consistent set of terms that could be used as a terminology for the project.

Here I also clarified the difference between "subject" and "topic". Happy editing. It's the best draft I could write that seems like an acceptable level of presentation and intra-wiki consistency. — CpiralCpiral 22:26, 7 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Example "Pagename explanation2.png" shows an external URL to Wikipedia -- ???

[edit]

Shouldn't the caption that says, "... and the URL is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salvo_D'Acquisto" show an internal Wikilink and not an external link icon. After all, it is a Wikilink, no? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Webistrator (talkcontribs) 17:37, 23 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

No, a wikilink is defined by how it's made (with double square brackets, see Help:Link), and not by where it goes. google:example is a wikilink (click edit to see how I made it). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salvo_D'Acquisto is not a wikilink. Another reply, not taking the above post into account, is at Wikipedia:Help desk#Question about "help:page name" example. PrimeHunter (talk) 18:58, 23 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
