Cross-namespace redirect

[edit]

It's one thing to have an article/non-article CNR or a non-article/non-article CNR, but should we be redirecting a non-article (in this a help page) to an article? I think this is a CNR that shouldn't be here.--99.237.222.73 (talk) 21:58, 30 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The redirect appears to be used quite a lot. In December 2009, for example, the article received 1,142 page views and the redirect 228 page views. Not only is 228 a relatively high number for a redirect, but the redirect also accounts for a substantial percentage of searches for the target article. I think an exception to the general rule against CNRs is justified in this case. R to other namespace

[edit]

editprotected

Please add R to other namespace directly in front of the target in the redirect. Thanks, :| TelCoNaSpVe :| 01:31, 4 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Can you please format it so that it shows on a single line, like this?
#REDIRECT Help!: A Day in the LifeR to other namespace
Thanks, :| TelCoNaSpVe :| 04:37, 5 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

To the Main namespace

[edit]

Please make the following modification:

Present state...

#REDIRECT Help!: A Day in the LifeR to other namespace

Please alter to...

#REDIRECT Help!: A Day in the Life
(PLEASE LEAVE THIS LINE BLANK)
to main

NOTE: The Redr is just a new and better way to add Rcats (redirect category templates), so the only visible modifications will be to remove this redirect from the parent Cross-namespace redirects category and place it in the more appropriate Redirects to the main namespace subcategory. The |mod (R from modification) will place this redirect in the Redirects from modifications category, which covers the changed punctuation (exclamation point). – Paine Ellsworth ( CLIMAX )  02:00, 27 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Edit request March 2013

[edit]

Could someone please add "restricted" to the Redr? That is to say, . It will categorize this redirect into Category:Redirects due to technical restrictions, a category that I feel could be of some use to correcting item labels on Wikidata. — PinkAmpers&(Je vous invite à me parler) 12:39, 8 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Why is this fully protected?

[edit]

I see it was back in 2007, but it doesn't seem like it'd be that productive to have it fully protected, though I guess there won't be many edits anyway. Skarmory (talk • contribs) 15:33, 6 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It was an ancient protection, which has been removed since February 18, 2022. Railtransportfan (talk) 22:40, 8 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
