As a professional photographer I believe this image is a daytime photo that has being edited using computer software to appear like it was taken at night, for several reasons- the transition between illumination of the planes from light to dark is too defined, there is no runway lighting which should be present and the planes look as if they were photographed in sun light rather than at night under artificial lighting. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 84.66.218.30 (talk • contribs) .
And how do you explain the varying angles of the plane shadows? And why would anyone bother to turn a daytime picture into a nighttime one? And even if you're right, why does it matter?--DCo117:53, 19 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I agree that the authenticity of this image is questionable. The hard and fragmented fading of the lights makes it appear that it has been edited. Farside616:33, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
And I'm sure they also took the time to ADD each and every light you see in the picture. From the headlights, to the reflection on top of buildings. Get over it. You guys don't know everything. It's real, simple as that. Nbbs16:51, 2 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I live in the bay area, and have been to SFO many times. This is how SFO looks at night time, even the number of planes is typical at night time. Based on the cardinal directions and the way shadows are cast in the bay area due to it's position in relation to the equator, this is not an altered day time photo. Plus, the lighted areas look artificial, because the Sun light in that area of the bay is rarely ever so "white". Also, why would the lights be on in the entrance if it was day? Stop acting like know-it-alls, when you don't even live here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.142.65.164 (talk) 17:53, 15 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
