[edit]The main Lakshadweep article is the top level article on this group of islands and it only has high level summary or abstract or macro level. Whereas this list article presents the data in more detailed manner in the form of three detailed or micro level lists.
It will not be appropriate to add this level of details to the main high level Lakshadweep article.
This detailed list serves as a central single-point-repository for all the islands and geographical features in the Lakshadweep islands which can be seen in the form of three different type of lists:
- Inhabited or not as well as which one of these are administrative subdivisions
- By the geographical feature type,
- By Island subgrouping, etc.
