@Asia Anthropologist I'm not one of the people who review these pages, but just so you know, Youtube, Instagram, etc. are not reliable sources. Reliable sources are news stories, books, etc. (publications with editorial review), not written by the subject, excluding interviews, that write at least a good paragraph or so ("significant coverage") about the subject. If there aren't at least 2 or 3 news articles/etc. on her she likely doesn't qualify for a Wikipedia page. Also, I noted you added a picture of her under a free license -- if you own that picture because you are her or are working on her behalf, you have to make a conflict of interest declaration, and if you don't own that picture you shouldn't have uploaded it as your own work. Thank you for your clarification. We, are the authorized contractors for Miss Lin Kyuketsuki and possess her consent to use her image accordingly. We are planning a significant collaboration with her in the near future.
Could you please advise us on how to obtain approval on this platform at your earliest convenience? Your assistance is greatly appreciated. Asia Anthropologist (talk) 19:43, 13 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Probably look at the conflict of interest guidelines -- I'm just a random person browsing "recent changes" randomly and found this. Approval of a page is essentially just waiting until someone with AFC reviewer permissions comes by. From what I gather, people are not really supposed to write their own Wikipedia articles, though. It's not supposed to be a resume site -- imagine trying to write your own article in Encyclopedia Britannica. Mrfoogles (talk) 20:02, 13 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If you can find (this is a little arbitrary, but a convention (see WP:THREE)) three news articles nontrivially discussing her, I'd say just write the absolute basic facts and cite the news articles. That'll probably get through AFC: their job is to try to determine whether there is enough written by journalists/authors about a person to write an article, and not let through overly-promotional stuff. That's what I'd do, if I was trying to make a Wikipedia article about someone I was connected to. Mrfoogles (talk) 05:58, 14 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
