Draft talk:Downball (wall and ball game)
This draft
[edit]@Rockycape: I created this draft for you to edit. Please do not move it to mainspace without submitting for a review. —Alalch E. 22:14, 9 July 2024 (UTC)
- @Alalch E. Thank you. Actually it would be my preference to do the same in User sandbox. For some reason https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Rockycape/sandbox has a redirect in place which seems to be preventing me. Rockycape (talk) 22:44, 9 July 2024 (UTC)
- Might as well edit here now that it exists. I have removed the redirect from your sandbox. —Alalch E. 22:46, 9 July 2024 (UTC)

idea to include content on Downball walls
[edit]Downball walls are commonly built and maintained in the real world and much like with other structures/buildings they offer some evidence that Downball has and is played in quite a widespread way. There are lots of references/sources about Downball walls. I have this idea to include content on Downball walls and their locations. I'm just not sure of whether this is a good idea to follow to show notability? Rockycape (talk) 00:00, 10 July 2024 (UTC)
- @Rockycape: Everything depends on what you can find good sources for. If you have sources about downball walls that help identify the game and document how it is played differently from other games, be sure to use them. So far, some parts of the draft have run ahead of what you have been able to find sources for. It's in fact a good rule to follow to only add sentences to your draft for which you already have a good source and cite that source when you add the sentence. Also, illustrations are helpful for an article but cannot help a draft get accepted, so it's best not to spend any effort on illustrations while it is still a draft. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 06:09, 15 July 2024 (UTC)
