Yi Jun (Korean: 이준; 11 September 1961) is a great-grandson of the Emperor Gojong of Korea of Korean Empire and the first grandson of Prince Imperial Ui, Yi Kang, the second son of Emperor Gojong. He is the successor of Sadonggung-the palace of Prince Imperial Ui.
He has worked as senior engineer at several multinational medical equipment manufacturers. He was born as the eldest son of Yi Gon, the heir of Prince Imperial Ui, Yi Kang at Deoksu Palace, Seoul.
Royal Foundation of Prince Imperial Ui of the Korean Empire
[edit]As head of the Imperial seat of Prince Imperial Ui, along with the eldest member of Korean Imperial Family and Yi Jun's aunt, Yi Haegyeong, the Descendants of the Emperor Gojong founded Royal Foundation of Prince Imperial Ui of the Korean Empire(의친왕기념사업회)[1] in 2022. The mission statement of the foundation is to host a series of museum exhibitions of the imperial artifacts, art performances, and academic forums and symposiums to discover his grandfather, Prince Imperial Ui's independence movement activities.
One of the most important mission statements of the foundation is to restore Sadonggung Palace- the palace of Prince Imperial Ui, built in 1905 but destroyed in 2005 to build a public parking space in Insadong area by Seoul metropolitan government.
From October 2022 to January 2023, Yi Jun[2] and his cousin brother, Yi Young-joo[3] has collected a large number of imperial artifacts by Prince Imperial Ui around the world and organized a special exhibition titled <His Imperial Highness Prince Imperial Ui and the independence movement against Japanese colonization by Korean imperial family> at Kyungwoon Museum.[4]
Kyungwoon Museum is the first high-school founded museum that was owned by Gyeonggi Girls High School, founded by the emperor Sunjong of Korea.
On the 24 of October 2022, Yi Jun has organized an academic symposium titled <Prince Imperial Ui and the imperial family's independence movement by Korean Imperial Family>.
There were six presenters; Professor Lee, Taejin at Seoul National University, Professor Jeon, Byeong-jun at Ewha Women's University, Professor Ban, Byeong-ryul at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, HRH Yi Jun, HRH Yi Haegyeong, and Yi Young-joo, secretary general of Prince Imperial Ui Memorial foundation.
Royal Foundation of Prince Imperial Ui forms a group of descendents of Korean Imperial Family to promote the imperial culture to the general public in Korean and to the world.
In 2024, Yi Jun has paid the repect to the "3 Emperors' Shrine" in Yeosu City, where the Taejo, Gojong, and Sunjong are enshrined after 98 years of foundation of Samhwangmyo as the great-grandson of Emperor Gojong of Korean Empire.[5]
Also along with the Mayor Choi, Minho of Sejong Administrative Capital City, Yi Jun organized the academic forum entitled, "Independence Activities by Korean Imperial Family in Sejong area" [6]

Yi Jun is the successor of Prince Imperial Ui, the second prince of Emperor Gojong[7]
Prince Imperial Ui had 12 sons and 9 daughters.

Yi Jun's 9th uncle, Yi Gap's son, Yi Won was adopted to Yi Ku, the son of Prince Imperial Yeong, third prince of Emperor Gojong.
Yi Jun has two sons- Yi Bum and Yi Baek and lives with his family in an apartment in Sanggye-dong, Nowon-gu, Seoul, South Korea.
