Weber Road is a major north-south road in Will County, Illinois. It starts at U.S. Route 30 in Crest Hill and ends at the Naperville-Bolingbrook border. This road serves Bolingbrook, Romeoville, and Crest Hill.
Route Description
[edit]Weber Road starts at an intersection with U.S. Route 30 in Crest Hill. Shortly after, it has intersections in Caton Farm Road and Division Street, providing access points to northern Joliet. In Romeoville, after an intersection with Will County CR 36 (Renwick Road), Weber Road has intersections with Airport Road and Taylor Road, direct access points to Lewis University Airport. It goes on for a few more miles in Romeoville before having an interchange with I-55.
Now in Bolingbrook, Weber Road reaches a heavily industrial area. An junction on Lily Cache Lane ends Will County CR 88, and another one on Clow International Parkway provides Weber Road access to Bolingbrook's Clow International Airport. Weber Road ends on the Naperville-Bolingbrook city line, just south of the DuPage River.
Interchange with I-55
[edit]Weber Road's interchange with I-55 is a diverging diamond interchange and is one of two in Will County, the other one being on Houbolt Road and I-80. The construction of this interchange started in 2018 and was opened on November 14th, 2022.[2] This project also involved adding a third lane to each intersection between Rodeo Drive and 135th Street (Romeo Road).[2]
Due to this interchange, a new project will commence later in 2024, with six lanes between Renwick Road and I-55. This project includes Taylor Road getting additional westbound and eastbound lanes closer to the Weber Road intersection.[3]
Major Intersections
