Vas Shenoy (1980) is a geopolitical analyst and writes in English and Italian. He was appointed the Chief Representative for Italy of the Indian Chamber of Commerce's its first overseas representative.[1][2]. Shenoy’s position is notable as he leads initiatives fostering stronger ties between Indian and Italian businesses[3]. His work includes collaborations with the Italian government and private sector, and he has facilitated significant bilateral discussions, notably those involving prominent Italian companies like Pininfarina[4] and Messina Shipping[5]
The Permanent Committee on Foreign Policy for the Indo-Pacific, established within the Standing Committee for Foreign Affairs of the Italian Chamber of Deputies, has conducted a hearing with Vas Shenoy, an expert on Europe-India relations, as part of its inquiry into the projection of Italy and European countries in the Indo-Pacific region[6]
He launched[7] the Indo-mediterranean Intiative under the leadership of Senator Giulio Terzi di Sant'Agata which follows the IMEC and brings togethers thinkers, decision makers and policy experts in IMEC countries in order to create a dialogue about the security and future of the Indo-mediterranean. He writes for the Jerusalem Post, Economic Times, First Post, CNN News-18, Il Giornale. He has worked closely with Ambassador Uri Savir at the Glocal Forum and established Glocal Cities in 2017 to continue the organisations mandate of working in conflict/post conflict areas.
