The untitled Donkey spin-off film is an upcoming American animated fantasy comedy film produced by DreamWorks Animation and distributed by Universal Pictures. An installment in the Shrek franchise, it is based on the character of the same name. Eddie Murphy reprises his role as the titular character.

[edit]At the same time that Shrek 5 was revealed to be in development in April 2023, it was revealed that a spin-off film revolving around Donkey was in early talks as well.[1] In June 2024, Eddie Murphy confirmed that the film was happening and that he would return to voice Donkey.[2]
