- Comment: Source 1, 3 and 4 don't mention US 395 Bus (or even the number 395) in the entire page through a Ctrl+F search. Source 2 does mention US 395, but only once in passing to describe the location of the museum, which does not meet WP:SIGCOV. S5A-0043Talk 13:19, 17 April 2024 (UTC)
U.S. Route 395 Business (US 395 Bus.) is a business route of U.S. Route 395 in Ridgecrest, California. It is the only business spur of U.S. Route 395 in California, connecting the route to Ridgecrest and the census-designated places of Ridgecrest Heights, China Lake, and China Lake Acres.[1]
Route description
[edit]U.S. 395 Business was approved by AASHTO on June 7th, 1989.[2] The route begins at a four-way intersection between US 395, Brown Road, and China Lake Boulevard.[3] From there, it traverses north on China Lake Boulevard before meeting up with SR 178 at Ridgecrest Boulevard. The rest of the business route north of Ridgecrest Boulevard is cosigned with SR 178.
The most notable part of this business route is an erroneous reassurance shield located at Ridgecrest's city limit.[4] Instead of the usual U.S. Highway sign used for a reassurance shield, there is a green state route shield, claiming the route is a business spur of California 395.
Major intersections
[edit]The entire route is in Kern County.
