Tola Awosika (born March 26, 1986) is a Nigerian entrepreneur[2], philanthropist, and politician. He is the founder and Group CEO of 355 Hospitality Group and the Tola Awosika Foundation. Awosika has worked across various sectors, including power, oil and gas, marine services, construction, and pharmaceuticals.
Early Life and Education
[edit]Tola Awosika was born into the Awosika family in Ondo Kingdom, Ondo State, Nigeria. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Politics from the University of Essex and a Master’s degree in Marketing from the University of Coventry.[3]. He earned a Doctorate degree from Swiss School of Business & Management.[3]
Business Career
[edit]Awosika is the founder of 355 Hospitality Group and has built businesses in multiple industries. His ventures span power, oil and gas, marine services, construction, and pharmaceuticals.[4]
Philanthropy
[edit]In August 2020, Awosika founded the Tola Awosika Foundation (TAF) which focuses on philanthropy and social well-being, impacting communities in Ondo State and officially launched the Tola Awosika Football Cup (TAFC) in 2022 [5]. He is also a board member of the Temitayo Awosika Help Foundation (TAHF)[3], a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with Sickle Cell Anemia and other underprivileged members of society.Additionally, he serves on the board of the Christian Benevolence Foundation.
Political Career
[edit]Awosika entered Nigerian politics in 2020. He was an Senate aspirant for the Ondo Central Senatorial District under the All Progressives Congress (APC)[6] but later defected to the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and served on the PDP Presidential Campaign Council.[7][8] In 2024, he returned to the APC.[9]
Awards
[edit]In 2022, Awosika was recognized as the "Outstanding Man of the Year" by the Chronicle Magazine.[10]
