Draft:Theresia Orchestra
Submission declined on 16 November 2024 by CurryTime7-24 (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of music-related topics). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

Submission declined on 15 November 2024 by Bonadea (talk). This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies. This draft's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article. In summary, the draft needs multiple published sources that are: Declined by Bonadea 3 days ago.

- Comment: I'm seeing a lot of passing mentions of subject, but only one article that meets the threshold of "significant coverage [that] addresses the topic directly and in detail". Criteria for WP:MUSICBIO do not appear to be met, although there may be reliable sources available that can confirm otherwise. If so, please do add them. — CurryTime7-24 (talk) 17:03, 16 November 2024 (UTC)

Theresia Orchestra is an international youth orchestra dedicated to the performance of Classical repertoire on period instruments.
Organization
[edit]Theresia Orchestra is managed by Fondazione ICONS.,[1] a non profit organization based in Italy.[2] It was founded in 2012 at the instigation of a group of patrons.[3] Fondazione ICONS provides annual study grants to its musicians for the musical specialization through their participation in the orchestra.[4]
Theresia Orchestra[5]is named after the Austrian empress Maria Theresia[6] and brings together musicians under the age of 28 who specialise in historically informed performance practice at the leading European music institutions[4] for a first professional orchestra experience accompanying them on their journey into professional life, directly creating work opportunities in collaboration with ensembles such as Il Giardino Armonico.[7] The orchestra meets several times during the year for residency periods under the guidance of internationally renowned artists. It performs at prestigious venues, theatres and festivals throughout Europe. In parallel, the project offers its participants a tailormade capacity building programme to enable the acquisition of new fundamental professional assets and skills. Theresia also includes an Ambassadorship Programme to disseminate classical music and its historic interpretation among new and young audiences in several European countries, fostering integration and dialogue between cultures.[8] The orchestra's musicians come from more than 40 different countries from all over the world, holding residencies and concerts throughout Europe in Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Slovenia and Poland.
