The Immortal Ascension (Chinese: 凡人修仙传; pinyin: Fánrén xiūxiān chuán) is a upcoming Chinese television series starring Yang Yang (杨洋), directed by Yang Yang (杨阳). This series is adapted from Wang Yu's novel A Record of A Mortal's Journey to Immortality.[1][2]
Synopsis
[edit]It tells the story of Han Li (played by Yang Yang), an ordinary poor boy from a mountain village who accidentally enters a small martial arts sect. Although his qualifications are mediocre, he relies on his own efforts and reasonable calculations to finally become an immortal.

Production
[edit]The series started filming in July 2023 and wrapped up on December 12, 2023.[5] The casting director is Dong Hailong, it also features Yi Qin as director of photography, Liu Qing as the editing director, Huang Wei as the costume director, Sun Qiyang as the art director, Yang Zhi and Qiao Feng as the visual effects director.
On August 13, 2024, the drama obtained broadcast licence with 38 episodes.
