Early life and education
[edit]Al-Sadhan is a Saudi economist and financial executive with a career spanning over 25 years in the banking and finance industry. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from King Saud University in 1997.[1][2] Al-Sadhan furthered his education with a Postgraduate Diploma in International Trade from the University of Edinburgh, in 2006, and an Executive MBA from Ecole des Ponts Paris Tech, France,[1] in 2007.[2] He is a Fellow of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants.[1][2][3]
Career
[edit]Al-Sadhan began his professional career at KPMG Saudi Arabia.[3][4] Subsequently, Al-Sadhan transitioned to the public sector as Deputy Governor of Supervision at the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA), where he oversaw regulatory frameworks and ensured compliance with financial regulations.[4] He later served as Director General of the Zakat and Tax Authority, managing tax policy implementation and collection. He also advised the Chairman of the Saudi Fund for Development on strategic financial investments. In April 2019, he became CEO of Riyadh Bank, focusing on technological and operational improvements.[1] On May 1, 2024, Al-Sadhan was appointed CEO of Saudi National Bank.[2]
