Sydney Marta Koszo (born December 6, 2006) is an American/Hungarian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for the Hungarian Football Federation (MLSZ) club Szent. Mihaly FC and the U19 Hungarian National Team.
Club career
[edit]Koszo received her first professional contract at age of 16 and in February 3, 2023 she joined Szent Mihaly FC[1] of the Hungarian Football Federation (MLSZ). In linking up with Koszo she turned down offers from Győri ETO FC and MTK Hungária FC the top Hungarian female soccer teams.
On March 11, 2023 she made her first professional debut in a 4-3 win vs Puskás Akadémia in the MLSZ. She scored her first goal on September 2, 2023 in a 2-0 win against Fehérvár FC.
During the summer of 2023 she extended her contract with Szent Mihály FC for another year.[2]
International career
[edit]Koszo played for the first time for the U17 Women Hungarian National Team on September 26, 2022 at a friendly match against Scotland in Felcsút. She was the member of Hungarian U17 team during the UEFA U17 Women Championship Qualification in 2022 held in Telki, Hungary. In September 26, 2023 she was playing a friendly in Eddinburgh, Scotland for the second time as the member of the U19 Hungarian National Team[3] where she scored her first international goal[4].

Personal life
[edit]Sydney born and raised on Marco Island, Florida, USA. Her nickname is "Puffi" a Hungariand word means chubby. Sydney Koszo's mother Lyndsi Koszo and father Adam Koszo. Sydeney She staretd playing soccer at a very young age, joining Optimist Club, folowing Florida Fire, IMG Academy and Florida United before moving to Europe. Adam Koszo's Hungarian citizenship allowed Sydney to become a Hungarian citizen and as a dual citizen of USA and Hungary she was able to join the U17 and U19 Hunagrian National Soccer Team.[6]
