Suwailem Al-Menhali (Arabic: سويلم المنهالي; born 17 April 2004) is a Saudi Arabian professional footballer who plays as a defender for Pro League side Al-Riyadh.[2]

Club career

Al-Menhali began his career at the youth team of Al-Ittihad. On 12 June 2022, Al-Menhali signed his first professional contract with the club.[3] He made his debut on 2 October 2022 in the 0–0 draw against Al-Nassr by coming off the bench and replacing Ahmed Bamsaud in the 85th minute.[4] On 7 October 2022, Al-Menhali made his first start for the club in the 3–1 home win against Al-Fateh.[5] On 25 January 2023, Al-Ittihad announced that Al-Menhali suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury.[6] On 10 November 2023, Al-Menhali made his first appearance since his injury in the 4-2 win against Abha.[7] On 24 November 2023, Al-Menhali made his first start of the 2023–24 season in the 0–0 draw against Al-Ettifaq.[8] On 27 November 2023, Al-Menhali made his continental debut for Al-Ittihad in the AFC Champions League group stage match against Uzbekistani side AGMK.[9] On 10 December 2023, Al-Menhali was named as part of the squad for 2023 FIFA Club World Cup replacing the injured Luiz Felipe.[10] He never featured in any of the two games his team played, as Al-Ittihad were eliminated in the second round by African champions Al Ahly.

On 13 July 2024, Al-Menhali joined Pro League side Al-Riyadh on a three-year contract.[11]
