Stage-Gate International. is a global consulting, software and training firm headquartered in Miami, Florida founded in 2000 by Dr. Robert G. Cooper and Dr. Scott J Edgett.
History
[edit]The company was founded in 2000 by scholars, Dr. Robert G. Cooper and Dr. Scott J. Edgett.[1][2]
Dr. Cooper developed the Stage-Gate methodology, for which the company is named for, in the early 1980s after focusing his PhD efforts and ‘first of a kind’ benchmarking studies of North American companies that excelled in new product innovation.[3] He authored articles on the topic and published his first book “Winning at New Products” in 1987 (ISBN 0-7715-5101-0).[4]
