Shafinur Shafin (Bengali: শাফিনূর শাফিন ; 21 April 1987) is a Bangladeshi poet, writer, translator, and academic. She is also the poetry editor of Prachya Review, an international literary webzine.[1][2][3][4][5]

Though her native language is Bangla, she also writes in English.[6] She has also translated works into English[7] and Bangla; In 2022, she translated A Christmas Carol into Bangla.[8]

Her first poetry collection, নিঃসঙ্গম (Nisangam), was published in Bangladesh in 2016.[9] Her poems have been translated into Nepali, Hindi, French, Spanish, German, and Italian.[10][11][12][3]

She has spoken on the influence of Sufism on Bangla poetry, stating that Sufism has been discussed in Bangla literature since medieval times, many khanaqahs, madrassahs and mosques were established by Sufis in Bengal. She also discussed the influence of Iranian traditions on Sufism and in turn in Bangla poetry.[13]
