Early life & Education
[edit]Seshadri Nathan Sukumaran, popularly known as Seshadri Sukumar, was born on June 9, 1955, in India.[2] Emerging from a middle-class family of seven siblings, he nurtured a childhood aspiration of becoming a prominent national and international photographer. His unwavering determination to surmount obstacles and excel in the realm of sports photography propelled him toward his goals. He received his education at Sri RKM Main School and pursued a B.Com degree from New College in Chennai.[3]

His relentless pursuit in search of excellence and the insatiable desire to achieve personal distinction and bring glory to the Nation has earned him many awards including State and International.
1. A gold medal from the Photographic Society of America in the 2016 Rio Olympics was given for his picture, out of 5579 entries received from across 46 countries.
2. and KALAIMAMANI title With Gold medal,(2017) highest honor from Govt. of Tamil Nadu was awarded in 2017.
3. Based on his expertise Canon has made him a Brand Ambassador for EOS.
4. A Diploma in Photographic Society of Bulgaria 2018.
Contribution to Society
[edit]His vocational training for poor school students of Corporation drew more attention. It is said that Health is Wealth. Sukumaran’s contribution towards preparing the youth to take up sports as a vocation is undoubtedly the invaluable Human Capital.[6]
