Savignano is a località of the comune (municipality) of Pontelatone.[1] It is located in the Campania region of Italy and part of the Province of Caserta. Savignano sits 965 feet above sea level on the western slope of Monte Friento.[2]

Savignano is in close proximity to other località such as Treglia and Casalicchio. It also served as a filming location for Pier Paolo Pasolini's 1971 filmThe Decameron (Italian: Il Decameron).[3]

There is a small chapel dedicated to San Vito Martire and the saint is celebrated annually with procession on the first Sunday in August.[4]
