Sara Kindberg Adelskov (born March 9th, 1975 in Aarhus) is a Danish midwife, cand.scient.san, PhD. in health science from Aarhus University and serial entrepreneur and Impact Investor within women's repruductive health. Kindberg worked at Aarhus Universitetshospital in 2008 - 2023 as a midwife and clinical sprecialist in birth lacerations. Since 2008 she has been the CEO of GynZone, where she works to improve research, education and simulation training on a global scale, within the fileds of diagnostics, anaesthetics, surgical repair and assessment of healing of obstetric lesions.
Kindberg grew up in Ry, worked with the Youth Red Cross in Uganda in 1993, trained as a midwife at UCN, University College of Northern Denmark in 1999, as a M.Sc. at Aarhus University in 2005, and as a Ph.D. at Aarhus University in December 2008. In the same year, she founded GynZone ApS together with senior consultants Karl Møller Bek and Søren Brostrøm.
Kindberg has worked as a clinical midwife in Denmark and Greenland, and as a teacher in the Nordic countries, Canada and Australia.
- In 2013, Kindberg helped to implement systematic screening of women with birth lesions in a midwife-led postnatal clinic at Aarhus University Hospital.
- In 2015, the pioneer work in the postnatal clinic at Aarhus University Hospital was highlighted by the WHO as an example of recommended practice.
- In 2017, Kindberg co-founded Hegenberger Speculum, developing a gynecological speculum for suturing complex birth lacerations. The company was sold in 2022.
- In 2018, Kindberg co-founded Vulva Enterprise ApS, which develops medical training models for simulation training within OBGYN.
- Since 2024, Kindberg has invested in several Danish start-ups together with other Impact investors from Angella Invest.

Private life
[edit]Kindberg is married to Thomas Strecker Lerbak Adelskov, former MP and mayor of Odsherred Municipality (2010-2021)
Kindberg's parents have both worked within the psychiatric services in Aarhus Municipality. Her mother worked as an ergotherapist and her father as a social worker. Both are now retired.
During the primary school years 1991-1992, Sara Kindberg was deputy chairman of Denmarks Student Organization (DEO) and responsible for teaching materials at Operation Day's Work in 1994.
Kindberg has a daughter Katrine Kindberg (born 2000)
