Sanjay Sehgal is an Indian-American business executive.[1] He has been the Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MSys Technologies since 2007.Before this, he served as the company's president and chief operating officer since 2005.[2]He has also held several senior executive positions in sales, product management, and engineering at American Megatrends (Norcross, GA).[3]
Early Life & Education
[edit]Sanjay was born in New Delhi, India, into a Hindu family.[4]He earned a bachelor's degree in electronics and communications from Delhi College of Engineering. He moved to the United States to pursue better career opportunities.
Early Career
[edit]Sanjay started his career in the software industry during the dot-com bubble. He worked on various projects, gaining experience in the latest technologies, which eventually led him to secure his work in Silicon Valley, followed by full-time work in Atlanta.[5]
Serial Entrepreneurship
[edit]Sanjay founded and played key roles in various companies, including AMI (which was sold to LSI Logic for over $220 million) and iVivity (acquired by Emulex).[2]
iVivity
[edit]In 2000, Sanjay started his own company, iVivity, where he focused extensively on the storage network space. During this time, he also worked in the sales and marketing domain.[5] Afterward, he transitioned to another venture – a software company – built it, and then sold it to a large storage and networking enterprise.
CEO
[edit]In 2007, Sanjay founded MSys Technologies, a company specializing in product engineering services. He currently serves as the CEO and Chairman of the company.[6]
Honors and Awards
[edit]Sanjay Sehgal is a Social Entrepreneur honoree in Atlanta Business Chronicle's 2022 Leaders in Corporate Citizenship Awards. He was also awarded the TiE Atlanta Top Entrepreneur Awards 2018 held at the Avalon Conference Center in Alpharetta, GA, on September 28, 2018, and named one of the top 100 CEOs & C-level executives in Georgia in 2023.[7] In 2022, Sanjay Sehgal was accepted into the Forbes Business Council[8] due to his diverse experience in the technology sector.[9]
Personal Life
[edit]Sanjay currently lives in Atlanta, United States and married Geeta. He resides with his wife, son, and daughter-in-law. He is deeply engaged in meditation practices.
