Products and Services

[edit]

Rival offers a wide range of products for both amateur and professional boxers, including:

History

[edit]

Prior to founding Rival, Russ Anber accumulated over 25 years of experience in boxing as a trainer, manager, gym owner, and cutman. He also spent 18 years introducing and selling foreign boxing brands to the Canadian market. Anber established Rival in 2003 with the aim of providing high-quality boxing equipment to professional and amateur boxers.[1]

Rival currently has offices in four countries and has partnered to open 5 amateur boxing gyms (one in Canada, two in the United States, one in Spain, and one in the United Kingdom). In July 2024, Rival's Oklahoma City gym hosted its first annual amateur boxing championship tournament.[2]

Rival in Professional Boxing

[edit]

Rival sells RFX-Guerrero Pro Fight Gloves[3], which have been worn by numerous world champion boxers. Notable athletes who have used Rival gloves include Oleksandr Usyk[4], Vasiliy Lomachenko[5], Anthony Joshua[6], David Benavidez[7], Artur Beterbiev[8], and Amanda Serrano[9]

Rival has a history of supporting professional boxing throughout the world. A notable milestone occurred in March 2013 in the UK, when Tony Bellew and Isaac Chilemba faced off in a WBC World Championship eliminator[10]. This marked the first time two professional boxers competed in full Rival attire, including gloves, outside of Canada.
