Philip Jamieson (born 19 July 1958) is an English author, playwright, and librettist. His drama course books for use in UK secondary schools were published by First & Best in Education Limited.
His comedy thriller plays are published by Scripts for Stage[1] and have had performances by theatre groups and schools across the world.
Philip wrote the words for the children's mini musical, The Story of the Great White Horse[2], with music by Nicholas Keyworth,[3] and produced/staged in Bangkok by Revolution Arts Limited.[4] Revolution Arts has since commissioned[5] Philip to write 24 original pieces suitable for Trinity Exams up to Grade 3.
Two of Philip's duologues were published by LAMDA in their Acting Anthology Volume 3[6] and his four drama textbooks were published by First and Best in Education between 1998 and 2016.
He has most recently worked with film and television composer James Harpham on a musical comedy, The Sound of Murder.

Biography
[edit]One of five children, Philip went to school at Maricourt Catholic High School in Maghull, Merseyside. After working for H.M Inland Revenue & Customs in Bootle, he attended Hugh Baird College where he studied for A level examinations. With a degree in English and Drama from Edge Hill, he worked in Leeds, first as a trainee manager at Lewis's department-store and then in the postgraduate office at Leeds University before taking up a post at Barbican Books in Moorgate, London. After qualifying as a teacher in 1989, he taught drama, theatre studies, and English at five schools until 2017 when he resigned from his post at The Stonehenge School to focus on writing.
