Owir Valley Chitral
[edit]Owir (Khowarلوٹ اویر) also known as (Lot Owir) is a union council in Upper Chitral District..[1]
According to the district profile report of Chitral [1], Owir contains the following villages.
- Perpish
- Riri
- Barum
- Shahbronz
- Awi
- Shongush
- Pakhturi
- Nichagh
- Muxen
Owir is known as the gateway of the great peak mountain of the Hindu Kush range "Terich Mir". Although there are multiple ways to reach to Terich Mir, but the first ever ascent of this mountain was carried out by a Norwegian expedition from the path of Owir[2] [3]
