Prince Oladiran Garvey Iyantan (born February 13, 1965) is a retired Nigeria Customs Service officer who ascended to the position of Superintendent of Customs and Special Assistant to the Customs Area Comptroller at Tincan Island Port, Apapa. Having served as the Federal Commissioner Ondo State for the National Population Commission, among other political roles, he currently holds the position of Chairman, Iyantan Farms Limited, located in Oke-odo, Owo, Ondo State.
Early Life and Education
[edit]Oladiran Iyantan was born in Ìkálè, a community in the Yoruba tribe of Ondo State, southwestern Nigeria.
In 1974, Oladiran completed his formal education at Methodist Primary School Okitipupa, Ondo State, obtaining his Primary School Leaving Certificate. He continued his academic journey at Manuwa Memorial Grammar School, where he earned his Secondary School Certificate in 1980. Subsequently, he obtained an A Level Certification in 1982 at Ondo State College of Arts and Science, Ikare-Akoko which is currently known as Federal Science and Technical College, Ikare-Akoko.[1]
In 1988, he achieved a significant milestone by earning a B.A (Hons) in English & Literature from the University of Benin, Benin City. Building on this foundation, in 2009, I obtained a Master in Business Administration (MBA) at Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma and also another Master in Public Administration (MPA) from Ladoke Akintola University, Ogbomosho, in 2013. He obtained a Professional Doctorate Degree in Information and Strategic Management from Liberal Bilingual University, Togo.
Career
[edit]Oladiran enlisted in the Nigerian Customs Service in 1993 and went on to have an illustrious 16year old career, serving the Nation Passionately, through the ranks. He served in various commands of the Nigeria Customs Service like the Idiroko Ogun State Command (1993), Delta State Command (1997), Ondo/Ekiti Command (2001), Kano/Jigawa Command 2007 and rose to become the Superintendent of Customs and Special Assistant, Tincan Island Port, Apapa Command (2009).
