Notes With Attachments is an instrumental album by bassist Pino Palladino and guitarist/multi-instrumentalist/producer Blake Mills, released in 2021 [1]. The album was recorded over two and a half years and features contributions from musicians across various genres, including jazz, R&B, and pop.
Initially conceived as a solo project for Palladino, the album evolved into a collaborative effort with Mills. The recording sessions included drummer Chris Dave, saxophonists Sam Gendel, Marcus Strickland, and Jacques Schwartz-Bart, and keyboardist Larry Goldings, among others.[2]
The album blends elements of jazz, R&B, and pop, showcasing the virtuosity of the musicians involved. The interplay between Palladino's bass lines and Mills' guitar work forms the backbone of the album, with intricate arrangements and contributions from other musicians adding depth and texture.
