Nitrosyl hexafluoroantimonate, NO[SbF 6 ] is a white powder which consists of a compound of the nitrosyl cation and the hexafluoroantimonic acid.
Characteristics
[edit]Nitrosylhexafluoroantimonate is a white powder. It changes directly into the gaseous state at 145°C.[citation needed]

[edit]The substance is toxic if swallowed or inhaled, and corrosive if it comes into contact with the skin.[2]
When burning, hydrogen fluoride, nitrogen oxides and antimony oxides can be formed. It reacts violently with oxidizing agents, water, bases and strong acids, metals and glass. In water it forms hydrofluoric acid.
