Pipera (talk) Nicholas is a descendant of Henry II of England (verified) and a descendant of William the Conqueror (verified). He is a descendant of Malcolm III of Scotland (verified.) and Roger I of Tosny. His wife Joan is a descendant of Serlo de Burci and William de Falaiseand comes from the FitzMartin and Lords of Cemais you would notice his son James Audley, 2nd Baron Audley is Lords of Cemais.

Nicholas Audley, 1st Baron Audley (12th Nov 1289 – 1316) at Heleigh Castle, Staffordshire. [1][2] was the first Baron Audley, [3] [4][5].[6] He is the son of Nicholas Audley.
Nicholas is the son of James Audley, 2nd Baron Audley and Ela Longespee daughter of William II Longespée the great great granddaughter of Henry II He married Katherine of Ledbury, the daughter of John Giffard, 1st Baron Giffard and Maud de Clifford.
Life
[edit]He was born in England in 1289 and married Joan Martin (died February 1320 / 1 August 1322), daughter of William Martin, 1st Baron Martin (died 1324) and widow of Henry de Lacy, Earl of Lincoln
He was sometimes called Nicholas Aldithley [3]
He was summoned to parliament from 1313 to 1318.[7]
His name is mentioned in the following; Inquisition: Post mortem, 6 Dec 1316.[8]Inquisition: Post mortem, 16 Jan 1308 [9]
Nicholas and Joan had two children:
- James Audley, 2nd Baron Audley he married Joan de Mortimer daughter of Roger Mortimer, 1st Earl of March and Joan de Geneville, 2nd Baroness Geneville they had issue.
- Alice Audley, she married Ralph Basset, 3rd Baron Basset of Drayton [10], they had issue. He is a descendant of Edward of Salisbury.
