The New Phytologist Foundation is a non-profit-making organisation, registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales (registered charity number: 1154867). It was established – as the New Phytologist Trust – in 1956[1] and renamed to the New Phytologist Foundation in 2020[2]. The New Phytologist Foundation's principal activity is the publication of the peer-reviewed academic journals New Phytologist and Plants, People, Planet, which is carried out on the organisation's behalf by Wiley.[3] Surplus revenue generated by the publication of the journals is reinvested in activities relevant to plant science by supporting education and training in the plant sciences, and sponsoring relevant scientific meetings.[4]
The New Phytologist Foundation's office is located at Lancaster University, in the UK.
