The Nelson Marina is a 60-slip docking pier in Nelson, British Columbia, Canada. [1] It has a large canopy, a swimming area and the historic vessel ladybird.[2] It was funded by a $1000000 (CAD) grant from the British Colombian government.[3]
History
[edit]It sits on land previously stated for use by the Kutenai Landing development project.[4] In September 2019, Nelson City Council made the decision that 30 of the Marina’s docking slips would be for non-motorized vessels only. This decision was based on a public hearing in which points about noise and air pollution were raised. [5]
