Natyakara Bijay Kumar Satapathy is an eminent Odia Writer.

He holds the position of Visiting Professor in the Department of Odia since 2014. He retired as professor of Odia in the year 2012 from Utkal University, Vani vihar. He has more than 25 years of research and 27 years of teaching experience (both in the UG, PG & M.Phil) in the field of Linguistics and Modern Literature. He has 10 Criticism books, 24 Drama books, 14 nos edited books more than 100 nos research articles published in different leading journal to his credit. He has already produced thirty two (32) research scholars in Ph.D Level and thirty (30) in M.Phil Level. He is also the recipient of the prestigious Odisha Sahitya Akademi Award for the year 2011, Fellowship from H.R.D (Govt. of India and received more than 40 nos award from other organizations.
